Example

How it works
Every unit in a category converts through a shared base unit — meters for length, kilograms for weight, and so on. Your value is converted to that base unit, then from the base unit into your target unit. Temperature is the exception, since Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin use different formulas rather than a simple multiplier.
