Privacy Policy

CalcLake has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. The values you type into a calculator — your income, weight, dates, passwords, or anything else — are processed locally in your browser using JavaScript and are never transmitted to our servers or stored by us. Closing the tab clears them.

A small number of tools (for example, currency conversion or speed testing) need to call an external API to work. Those requests go directly from your browser to that service, subject to that service's own privacy practices — we don't proxy or log them.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for every request — your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit — for security and reliability purposes (for example, detecting abuse). We also use an analytics service (Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic patterns, like which tools are popular and which pages have errors. Analytics data is reported in aggregate and isn't used to identify you individually.

We additionally use Microsoft Clarity, a session-recording and heatmap tool, to see how visitors move through and interact with a page — this is a different kind of data collection than aggregate analytics, since it can capture mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling within a session. We mask the contents of input fields in these recordings, so the numbers you type into a calculator (income, health data, generated passwords, and similar) are not intended to appear in a session replay.

CalcLake is supported by advertising, served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites, and to measure ad performance. Some of these partners may also collect data for personalized advertising.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a participating vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices. CalcLake is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Some tool pages link to external references (for example, a Wikipedia article explaining a formula). We're not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we don't operate.

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, when we add a new analytics or advertising integration. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date above.
