Example
Type the highlighted passage as quickly and accurately as you can — correct characters turn green, mistakes turn red, and your live words-per-minute is charted second by second. Your best result of the session is tracked in the corner, and every finished attempt is logged below your stats so you can watch yourself improve over a few tries.
How it works
The timer starts on your first keystroke and stops the moment you finish the passage. Words per minute (net WPM) is calculated as correctly typed characters divided by 5 (the standard “word” length), divided by elapsed minutes — Raw WPM uses the same formula but counts every character typed, mistakes included, so the gap between the two shows how much accuracy is costing your speed. Accuracy compares every character you typed against the original passage.
