Pomodoro Timer
Stay focused with timed work and break intervals.
0 focus sessions completed
How to use it
- 1Adjust the focus, short break, and long break durations if you want something other than the defaults.
- 2Click Start to begin a focus session — the ring and badge turn amber for focus, green for a short break, and blue for a long break.
- 3Work until the timer ends — you'll hear a chime and get a notification when it's time for a break, and the remaining time shows in the tab title too.
Example
With the default settings, you get four 25-minute focus sessions with 5-minute breaks in between, then a longer 15-minute break — a full Pomodoro cycle.
How it works
The Pomodoro Technique alternates focused work intervals with short breaks, with a longer break after a set number of sessions, to keep concentration high without burning out. When a session ends, you'll hear a chime and get a browser notification (if you allow it) even if this tab isn't in focus. The countdown is anchored to the actual clock time rather than counted tick by tick, so it stays accurate even after the browser throttles a backgrounded tab, and the remaining time is mirrored in the tab title so you can check it without switching back.
