Convert between PNG, JPEG, and WebP

Drag and drop an image, or click to browse

JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF

How to use it

  1. 1Drag and drop an image, or click to browse.
  2. 2Pick PNG, JPEG, or WebP as the target format.
  3. 3Adjust quality if converting to a lossy format, then compare the before/after preview and download.

Supported formats & limits

Supports common formats like JPG, PNG, and WebP. Processing happens in your browser.

Example

A PNG screenshot with a transparent background converts to WebP while keeping transparency, or to JPEG by flattening it onto a white background — JPEG has no transparency support, so that step keeps the result looking right.

How it works

Your image is drawn onto a canvas and re-encoded in the format you choose. PNG is lossless and supports transparency; JPEG and WebP are typically smaller but JPEG can't keep transparency, so it's flattened onto a white background first. The original and converted versions are shown side by side so you can compare them before downloading, and the file keeps its original name with just the extension swapped. Since the conversion happens on a canvas, an animated GIF can only carry its first frame over — everything else is unaffected.
